Today we are in Rome (in our hotel room with AC (thankfully)) for an extra day or two because my husband got heatstroke (of all things!) after a torturously hot tour of the Vatican.
A PSA for anyone traveling in this heatwave: take breaks, drink lots of water, bring a fan and don’t go into the hotel steam shower after a hot day out (ask me how I know 😬). Florence, we are ready for you as soon as it’s safe for my husband to travel!

With all the places in the world, I’m always torn between revisiting places we love and visiting new ones. So, when I tell you that I’ve somehow been to Paris five times in the last few years (either as a destination or on a stopover to or from elsewhere) you know that I must love Paris.

Yes, it’s hot in New York but everywhere you dip into has ice cold air conditioning. It is really hot in Paris with little respite! (Editing to add: but hotter in Rome!)
