The Point is a smart, thoughtful dispatch on elevated travel with points and miles. The Point has been featured in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Condé Nast and more and is a top ~40 bestseller in travel. So glad you’re here!
This summer, one of the two weekly posts here (most weeks) will be from my Postcards series, featuring photos and stories from our season of travels. Thanks for being here and following along!
I’ll be sharing a Rome city edit in the coming weeks but in the meantime, enjoy these snapshots from our trip sans kids this summer. We ended up in Rome for 5 nights (with an extra night tacked on due to my husband getting heatstroke at the Vatican — a cautionary tale!). I had a lot of time to wander the streets, pause to take photos, sit in cafés and enjoy the Eternal City.
Here are my postcards to you ❤️

a flea market to wake up early for

and souvenirs to bring home.

goods made by hand

remnants of horrors of the past

Churches with paintings by the greats

galleries to get lost in

Loved your photos and how you organized them.
Remnants from the horrors of the past… We were in Europe and saw the stumbling stones as well. But you have a photo with at least 19 all in front of one building together. 😢😢😢 We did not experience that.
L🩷ve the postcards. You helped me revisit Rome !!!
